Lighting & Assembly

Lighting and assembly were both major aspects of this environment. In an attempt to emphasise the eerie feeling and heighten the sense of wonder and intrigue, the lighting is intentionally dark with a flashlight as the major light source. Creating the right balance between darkness and light was incredibly difficult and took numerous attempts to achieve. Small point lights were places to mimic moon highlights in places, and non-shadow-casting filler lights were placed in areas of complete darkness to give some subtle visibility.
